The Brooks County Commissioners on Aug. 22 rescinded earlier April 10 approvals related to interlocal agreements with the City of Falfurrias and then considered and approved replacement agreements covering emergency management, 911 addressing and dispatch services.
The court unanimously rescinded the prior Interlocal Agreements for Dispatching Services (agenda item 16), Emergency Management Services (agenda item 18), and 911 Addressing Services (agenda item 17). After rescission, the court approved a new Emergency Management Services interlocal and a new 911 (addressing) interlocal unanimously. The Dispatch Services interlocal, which included acceptance of $49,500, passed on a separate vote with Commissioner Aaron Trevino moving and Commissioner Nora Salinas seconding; the motion carried 3–1 with Commissioner Rolando Gutierrez voting no.
County minutes indicate the agreements and supporting documents are on file. No detailed contract text was read into the record during the special session; the minutes note the monetary figure for dispatch ($49,500) and that the paperwork is available on file.
