Ordinance No. 49‑26 authorized the City Manager to award the Old Main Waterline and Booster Station Improvement Project Phase 2 to Utility Contracting, Inc.; after suspending the three‑reading rule and declaring an emergency, Council passed the ordinance unanimously.
Ordinance No. 50‑26 amended pay tables and consolidated two law‑office positions; it also moved police and fire chiefs' uniform allowances into parity with bargaining‑unit agreements. The ordinance was moved, emergency declared and passed unanimously.
Ordinance No. 51‑26 authorized the City Manager to re‑advertise bids for the Old Main Waterline Improvement Project Phase 1; Mr. Sanford said plan revisions to permit a direct jack‑and‑bore under Canadian National's right‑of‑way doubled the estimated construction cost. The re‑advertising ordinance was moved and passed with emergency.
Ordinance No. 52‑26 amended the 2026 budget through appropriations and transfers totaling $86,600; Council suspended rules and passed the budget amendment unanimously.
Each of the above actions was recorded with unanimous roll calls. No member voted against any item on the evening's agenda.
