At its March 10 meeting the Charlotte County School Board approved several operational items recommended by district staff.
The board voted to hold the Sally Jones Elementary boundary in abeyance for the 2026–27 school year following an annual enrollment review under school board policy 5120. Superintendent Viennel recommended the action and the board approved it by voice vote.
District operations presented recommended school start and end times. Board member Montrey, noting parents’ feedback from a workshop that most preferred no change, said he was "inclined to go with what the parents want." The board approved the start and end times as submitted.
The board also approved an amended and restated ground lease with Deep Creek Community Church, and approved a personnel action that included supplements and job descriptions; the superintendent had reported three additional job descriptions had been added under agenda item F6 earlier in the meeting. All motions were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
No roll-call tallies were recorded in the meeting transcript; the superintendent and staff said follow-up and formal documentation would be provided as appropriate.
