Because the library relocation is a rapid‑turnaround summer contract and the phase‑five package’s bid schedule runs close to the board calendar, staff requested and the board approved delegating authority to district administrators to accept the lowest responsive bidders so work can begin immediately; the awards will be presented to the board for ratification at the next meeting.
Trustees also asked staff to prioritize visible site readiness for first‑day photos and confirmed contingency plans if bond funding timelines change. The board voted to approve the delegations and to proceed with the schedule.
