Board approves routine finance, curriculum, policy and personnel items; several no votes and abstentions recorded

The Egg Harbor Township Board of Education approved multiple agenda items during the June meeting, including finance, curriculum, policy, new business and personnel motions. Roll call votes were taken for each packet of items and several individual exceptions were recorded.

Finance and operations: The board moved and approved finance items including purchase orders, contract renewals, transfers to reserve accounts and competitive contract awards. New business and personnel: New business items 11.1–11.3 were approved with two members recording no votes on item 11.3; personnel items 12.2–12.7 were approved and the board introduced new employees including a new transportation director and head boys basketball coach.
