The board also accepted a Soundbeam 6 system for elementary music instruction through Music Drives Us, a grant‑sponsored donation valued at about $6,700, which administrators said will expand inclusive music options for students with limited mobility.
The board also recorded several personnel updates: resignations (instructional coach Megan Fenton; bus driver Brent Barker; art teacher Adam Cororovo; athletic trainer Nancy Fornier) and a recent hire (van driver Paula Dobbins) and an internal transfer (Amy Rosco to special education coordinator). The consent agenda — with three items pulled for separate discussion — was approved by the board; the chair announced approval with the notation "unanimous except Crystal." Those pulled items were taken up later in the meeting.
Administrators said the equipment will be scheduled for installation and that the music equipment presentation will be held at Turner Elementary School in September.
