The Ventnor City Board of Commissioners approved a slate of consent resolutions on May 14 that included property-auction authorizations, personnel actions, refunds, and a change order for engineering services.
Resolutions 133 and 134 authorize public auctions on June 9 for vacant municipal lots: 4803 Ventnor Avenue (minimum bid $152,000) and 6512 Ventnor Avenue (minimum bid $138,000). The board also approved payroll runs and bills (payrolls listed at $674,781.29 and $538,665; bills $2,212,366.98) by roll call.
Routine administrative items included refunds for billing and tax overpayments, a retirement payout for Bradford Cook and appointment of Robert Newcomer to sewer repair/senior plumbing station operator positions. The board authorized the hiring of Morgan Visco as a public safety telecommunicator.
Under resolution 152 the board approved change order number one to add engineering services for a proposed Portland Avenue drainage system and outfall design. At the meeting the mayor reported adding funds to the prior contract and presented a revised total not to exceed $41,400 for the contract; staff stated the added amount covers stormwater-management design and permitting work.
All consent items were moved and approved on the consent calendar by roll call with commissioners present voting yes.
