NextEra names point of contact for local solar project at Cass County meeting

At the public-comment portion of the May 6 Cass County Commission meeting, Evan Schalzky identified himself as a NextEra Energy Resources representative and said he is the new point of contact on a local solar project.
"I'm the new point of contact in case of the project down here," Schalzky said, adding that NextEra is "still actively working on" interconnection and engineering and expects to collect solar and weather data in the near term. He exchanged business cards and confirmed the spelling of fellow attendee Devin Pishalski’s name.
No formal application or permitting item for the project was on the commission’s agenda that day; Schalzky’s comments were filed as public comment.
