Winslow Township welcomes Jamal White as new high school football coach

The Winslow Township School District on May 13 introduced Jamal White as the new Winslow Township High School football coach.
White told the board he began his foundation in Winslow, returned to the district in a leadership role and intends to emphasize both character and competitive standards. "My foundation was in Winslow. So, I actually started teaching and mentoring in Winslow. So, it's a blessing to be back here and be able to get back in another capacity," he said. White told board members he has coached at Timber Creek and Woodbury High School and said those stops included seven state championships.
White said he plans to focus on developing "men first"—prioritizing classroom performance, community engagement and life skills in addition to on-field success. The board welcomed him and noted assistant coaches will be named and additional approvals for coordinator roles will be considered at a future meeting.
