Jonathan, a city staff member, briefed the council on upcoming outreach and community events. He said there are a number of ambassador calls later in the month and encouraged officials to check the local "Blue River Buzz" for updates. He announced a lunch-and-learn about land banks set for March 31, saying the session will be led by local attorney Kurt Vershear and that the concept was part of a recent housing study.
Jonathan also listed a calendar of events: Cleanup Day on April 18; Concordia’s business-plan pitch finals on April 21; a business-anniversaries luncheon with the Chamber on April 23 celebrating business milestones; and Seward County Gives, a week of charitable giving in April. He encouraged elected and appointed officials to attend the land-bank session and other events to learn more and support local efforts.
No formal council action was recorded on these announcements; they were presented as informational updates.
