Members approved a $197,865 additional appropriation to the parks operating budget funded by trust revenue. During discussion Commissioner Maria O'Brien asked whether the appropriation exceeded the annual trust distribution; finance members said historical distributions varied and that the funds would be used for capital items including roof repairs, a pickup truck and line-painting equipment.
All motions were moved and seconded and carried by voice vote; members did not request separate roll-call votes for these items during the session. The approved appropriations will be reflected in the city's fiscal records before final budget adoption.
