Training center plan gains traction as staff evaluate Cross Street parcel

Staff said they plan to shop the proposal to potential private partners and to advance a bonding request through the state to support the project.
Commissioners discussed site layout and the potential for confined-space props and other realistic training elements. No formal acquisition or funding vote occurred; staff said the project has gained momentum since November and will continue through planning and bonding steps.
