Keene Memorial Library Board adopts agenda, approves March minutes and schedules next meeting

The Keene Memorial Library Board met April 20, 2026, in the Pinnacle Bank Board Room and adopted the meeting agenda, approved its March 16 minutes and received routine reports from library staff and the Friends of the Library.

Board President Becky Pence called the meeting to order at 6:42 p.m. and roll call showed Board Members Tina Barham, LeAnn Rathke and Becky Pence present; Ryan Fiala arrived at 6:45 p.m. Also in attendance were Library Director Laura England-Biggs; City Administrator Jody Sanders; City Council Liaison Sally Ganem; Dan Gillis, Director of Public Works; and Tracy Swanson, Senior Office Associate, who recorded the meeting minutes.

Board Member LeAnn Rathke moved to adopt the agenda; Board Member Tina Barham seconded. The board approved the agenda 3-0 (Barham, Rathke and Pence) with one member absent at that vote. Board Member Tina Barham then moved to approve the March 16, 2026 minutes; Board Member LeAnn Rathke seconded and the motion passed 3-0.

The board received the Library Director's Report, month-in-review statistics, a report from the Friends of the Library and reviewed the library expenditures reports for March 2026. No formal action was taken on those reports.

With no further business, Board Member Ryan Fiala moved to adjourn, Board Member LeAnn Rathke seconded, and the board adjourned at 7:21 p.m. The next regular Keene Memorial Library Board meeting is scheduled for May 18, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in the Board Room (1st Floor) at Keene Memorial Library, 1030 N. Broad St., Fremont.
