Price said the joint county and municipal opioid funds total about $3,000,000 combined across restricted and unrestricted accounts. She told the council staff will publish a call for proposals and expects applications and presentations in June; applicants will have opportunities to present their proposals to the advisory body. Price also said at least one grantee requested an extension while organizing operations, and any unused funds from inactive grantees will be returned to the pool and made available for reapplication.
The council approved the reappointments and the administrative approach to outreach and presentations. Todd Shook was reappointed but did not speak during the meeting.
The council did not set a final award schedule during the meeting; Price said staff is targeting June for application intake and presentation opportunities. The advisory board meets quarterly.
