Rockledge council approves fire-department software contract, accepts donated land and confirms board appointments

At its April 15 meeting the Rockledge City Council approved consent business that included authorization to enter into an agreement with EPR Systems USA, Inc. for Fire Department response software and accepted donated land with authorization to enter into a donation agreement through the Community Development Department.
Councilwoman Tara L. Connor moved approval of the consent items; Councilwoman Sammie Brown Martin seconded and the motion passed unanimously (7). The minutes record the approvals as passing without objection.
The council also approved reappointments to the Community Redevelopment Agency Board of Commissioners (David Bucher, Constance Burrell, Martha “Marti” Rich and Frederick “Rick” Sanders) and to The Rockledge Environmental Enhancement (T.R.E.E.) Board (Hope Leonard, Julie Rebelo, Martha “Marti” Rich, Frederick “Rick” Sanders and Pamela Shoemaker). Councilman Duane A. Daski moved the reappointments; the action carried without objection.
In a related personnel action, Councilwoman Tara L. Connor moved to appoint Jose Castorena to the T.R.E.E. Board; Councilwoman Martin seconded and the appointment passed without objection.
The council also voted to receive the Financial/Budget Report for March 2026 (motion by Councilmember Dr. R. Shaun Ferguson; seconded by Councilwoman Martin) and approved the minutes of the April 1, 2026 meeting (motion by Councilman Daski; seconded by Councilmember Dr. Michael A. Cadore), both motions recorded as unanimous.
The meeting concluded with Mayor Price thanking attendees; the council adjourned at 6:39 p.m.
