During the public-comment portion of the June 2 Village of Farwell council meeting, Mr. King and members of the Shell Family told the council they intend to make the old Larabell House a community center. The speakers asked the council to be aware of the proposal; the minutes do not record a formal request for funding or a motion related to the property.
Separately in staff reports, Clerk/Treasurer Ross said delinquent utility bills (UB) will be sent to the county on the 5th and that tax bills had been submitted to the county at $0.70 each. Zoning Officer Lisa described a complaint that people were living in a shed and said she had given the occupants 30 days to vacate. No enforcement hearing or follow-up schedule was recorded in the minutes.
The matters were presented for council awareness; no formal council action on the Larabell House proposal or the shed enforcement was recorded in the minutes.
