Farwell staff reports: trash pickup, auditors, festival and lift station update

At the start of the July 21 meeting clerk/treasurer Ross Wilson updated the council that GFL is working with Clare County and will continue trash pickup service at the Corning Street Apartments while the situation is resolved. Wilson also said auditors will be on site Friday and the following Monday and Wednesday, and noted Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Lisa Graham will attend a Michigan Association of Municipal Clerks (MAMC) training on Aug. 27.
Parks & Recreation Coordinator Tonya Roe presented the Parks & Recreation report and described the Lumberjack Festival as successful. Trustee Amanda Pfruender reported the DPW Committee's issue with Lift Station 1 had been resolved.
