Farwell council approves resolutions, budget amendments and multiple contract and financial actions

The Regular Council of the Village of Farwell met on Feb. 17, 2026, and voted unanimously to approve several resolutions, budget changes and contract/financial actions.
Trustee Amanda Pfruender moved to adopt Resolution 2026-03; Trustee Marvin Frayer seconded and a roll-call vote was recorded with all yeas. Trustee Victoria Williams then moved to adopt Resolution 2026-04; Trustee Frayer seconded and the motion carried on a unanimous roll-call vote. Trustee Pfruender moved to adopt Resolution 2026-05, which designates Ross Wilson and Lisa Graham as authorized representatives; Trustee Victoria Williams seconded and the motion passed on a unanimous roll-call vote.
The council adopted the 2025–2026 budget amendments after Trustee Victoria Williams moved for adoption and Trustee Marvin Frayer seconded; the motion passed with all yeas.
On infrastructure procurement, Trustee Victoria Williams moved and Trustee Jeff Linton seconded to approve the Jett Pump quote for Lift Station #4 in the amount of $27,250.60; the motion carried on a unanimous roll-call vote.
In new business the council approved a LSLR proposal with Fleis & Vandenbrink for $12,000 after Trustee Marvin Frayer moved and Trustee Shawn Burger seconded. The council also approved a financial transfer of $124,712 from the MiClass Sewer Investment account to the Sewer Cash account (moved by Trustee Victoria Williams; seconded by Trustee Amanda Pfruender) and approved an audit engagement letter covering fiscal years 2026, 2027 and 2028 (moved by Trustee Amanda Pfruender; seconded by Trustee Marvin Frayer). All votes were recorded as unanimous "yea."
The minutes record no public opposition or abstentions on these items. Where a resolution named authorized representatives, the council designated Ross Wilson and Lisa Graham as the authorized signatories. The clerk noted that village property taxes are due March 2, 2026.
The council adjourned at 6:53 PM. The next regular meeting is scheduled for March 2, 2026, at 6:00 PM.
