Farwell council approves draft 2026–27 payroll, general and other budgets

The Village Council of the Village of Farwell approved several draft budget items for fiscal 2026–27 at its regular meeting Monday, Feb. 9. Trustee Amanda Pfruender moved to approve the payroll and General Fund drafts; Trustee Gina Hamilton and other trustees moved and seconded subsequent fund approvals. Each motion carried, according to the minutes.
The approvals recorded in the minutes include: approval of the 2026–27 payroll budget (with unspecified changes), the General Fund draft, the Enterprise Funds draft, the Special Revenue Funds draft and the Component Units draft. Motions were made and seconded by trustees for each item; the minutes state “Motion Carried” for each but do not record vote counts or specific dollar amounts.
Council also reviewed the draft Capital Projects budget for 2026–27. The minutes note review of the capital projects draft but do not record detailed discussion points, amounts, or any separate formal vote on capital projects during the meeting.
