The Village of Baroda appointed Mark P. Culverhouse as its part-time treasurer at a Jan. 19 special meeting, setting his starting pay at $20.00 per hour and a start date of Jan. 20, 2026. President Michael Price introduced Culverhouse, who said he holds a B.S. in public administration and previously served as a financial control supervisor.
The appointment was moved by John "Jack" Lewis and seconded by Julie Elliott; a roll-call vote was unanimous. The council also approved the treasurer’s pay on a motion by President Price, seconded by Robert "Bob" Feickert.
The position had been under consideration during the regular Jan. 12 meeting, when council members reported interviewing candidates and tabled final action pending an additional applicant. No public objections to the appointment were recorded at the special meeting.
Culverhouse’s duties will follow village procedures for treasurer responsibilities; the council set compensation and a start date but did not record further detail about his schedule or expected weekly hours in the meeting minutes. The council will process onboarding paperwork and payroll adjustments following the effective start date.
