Burnet County officials approve mass-gathering permit for Spartan Race at Reveille Peak Ranch

Burnet County officials recorded approval of a Mass Gathering Permit for a Spartan Race scheduled for Feb. 28, 2026 at Reveille Peak Ranch during a Feb. 17 special session of the Burnet County Commissioners Court.

County Judge Bryan Wilson turned the discussion over to county law-enforcement, and the minutes state that Burnet County Sheriff Calvin Boyd explained the event request while Chief Deputy Sheriff Alan Trevino also spoke. The minutes list a completed Mass Gathering Permit Application among the meeting attachments and record that the permit application was approved.
