Burnet County approves vendor contracts, land variances and budget items in routine business

On procurement and contracts, the court approved a CivicPlus quote of $36,642.67 to ensure Burnet County domains meet Department of Justice ADA requirements by April 24, 2026. The court authorized additional engineering services with K.C. Engineering for the Wirtz Dam Road and Bridge Project related to procuring easements for up to $22,050. It also approved the purchase of VistaCom equipment for the Burnet County Sheriff's Department (not to exceed $10,354) and authorized the county to enter a Subrecipient Agreement for Texas Division of Emergency Management-administered awards, designating the County Judge as the Designation of Account Approval and Designation of Subrecipient Agent.
The court approved invoices presented without purchase orders or contracts (as referenced in Local Government Code §113.901), authorized payment of claims previously approved by the County Auditor, and approved inner departmental line-item transfers. The court authorized bids for an aerial fiber connection for the Burnet County Data Center (motion recorded 4-1) and for fuel card services and possible fuel storage solutions (recorded 5-0).
One non-unanimous recorded vote occurred on Item 19(a), the sponsorship of the Bertram Art, Herb, and Wine Festival for up to $1,500; the motion to approve the sponsorship passed with one abstention noted by Commissioner Damon Beierle (record appears as Vote: 4 - 0 in the minutes with an abstention recorded).
