Commissioners approve HR software purchase, pass related IT/HR budget transfers

County Judge Bryan Wilson moved to delay the decision to the Dec. 23 meeting; that motion was seconded by Commissioner Joe Don Dockery and failed 2-3 (Wilson and Dockery voting to postpone).
Commissioner Chad Collier then moved to approve selecting and executing an agreement for HR software up to $150,680; Commissioner Damon Beierle seconded. The motion carried 4-1, with Judge Wilson opposing. The court recorded no specific vendor in the motion; vendor quotes were entered into the record.
Separately, the court approved IT/HR interdepartmental line-item transfers on a 4-1 vote (Judge Wilson opposed) and approved elections line-item transfers unanimously. The IT/HR transfers were tied to the broader procurement and departmental budgeting presented during the HR software discussion.
The county did not identify a final vendor in the meeting minutes; staff were authorized to proceed with contracting within the approved dollar limit.
