Court approves a series of contracts, procurement steps and a Joppa Bridge clean‑up award

For infrastructure, the court awarded the Joppa Bridge clean-up project to Maynard Construction for $13,985 from Flood Recovery Fund 4906120-3300 after a motion by Commissioner Damon Beierle and a second by Commissioner Chad Collier.
In support of a local nonprofit event, the court unanimously approved using county equipment and labor to assist the Burnet County Rodeo Association with arena preparation for an upcoming demolition derby, citing a recognized public purpose including economic development under Chapter 381 of the Texas Local Government Code.
On contracts and renewals: IT Director Gregg Harris presented several items that the court approved by a single motion, including an agreement with Reliable Tire Disposal for an April 18 BOPATE collection event; Change Order #1 for Shellback Construction for jail attorney rooms renovation; renewal of Virtru email encryption; ratification of WOW Total Restoration for mold removal at Herman Brown Library; an agreement with Darktrace; and authorization for a pilot program with Vested Networks.
The court also approved initiating bids and supplemental agreements related to road materials and an executed contract with American Structurepoint for CIPP engineering services under RFQ 264090-02. Several items were approved unanimously by recorded vote.
