The Burnet County Commissioners Court on March 10, 2026 authorized County Judge Bryan Wilson to initiate and complete negotiations with BSW for architect services to develop a Burnet County Facilities Master Plan (RFQ 26-4090-01).
Representatives from the three shortlisted firms—BSW, Lopez Salas Architects, and Parkhill—presented qualifications to the court. BSW was then authorized to enter negotiations after a motion by Commissioner Damon Beierle and a second by Commissioner Joe Don Dockery; the motion passed unanimously. Judge Wilson was instructed to bring the negotiated agreement back to the court for an official recorded vote and final approval.
The RFQ described the engagement as not to exceed $75,000 for services related to the Facilities Master Plan. The selection process included interviews and a ranking of respondents based on demonstrated competence and qualifications. The court recessed briefly during the interview process and reconvened to complete the authorization.
Next steps: County staff will negotiate contract terms with BSW and present the resulting agreement to the Commissioners Court for formal consideration and a recorded vote.
