Burnet County approves replat and preliminary plat for local subdivisions

Herb Darling, Burnet County Development Services Director, presented a request to split Lot MCE 2 in Wolf Creek Ranch into Lots MCE 2-A and 2-B; Commissioner Jim Luther moved to approve the replat and the court approved it unanimously. Later in the meeting, Darling and Sam Walker of Eckermann Engineering presented the preliminary plat for Caliza Subdivision, a private subdivision of 38 lots on 61.79 acres; Commissioner Damon Beierle moved to approve the preliminary plat and the court voted unanimously to grant preliminary approval.
A separate replat request to combine lots 167, 168, 169 and 2E-1R in Council Creek South into a single lot (167A) was presented but the court took no action on that item.
The approvals grant the proponent permission to proceed to subsequent platting steps consistent with county subdivision regulations; specific conditions, infrastructure requirements or surety amounts were not specified in the minutes and will appear in later planning or development filings if required.
