Commissioners appoint Keep Burleson County Beautiful members and back spring cleanup events

The Burleson County Commissioners Court amended the 2004 Keep Burleson County Beautiful (KBCB) Commission rules, appointed five members to the commission and approved county participation in several regional cleanup initiatives.
Commissioner Vincent Svec moved and Commissioner Dwayne Faust seconded the order amending KBCB’s rules; the court approved the change unanimously. Commissioner Dwayne Faust moved and Commissioner Robert "Bobby" Urbanosky seconded the appointment of Candice Lister, someone listed only by the last name 'Murray' in the agenda, Lauren Plachy, Kathy Pollock and Susan Mott to the KBCB Commission with staggered terms through 2027–2028 as shown on the agenda.
The court also approved participation in the 2026 Brazos Valley Community Cleanup Challenge, the Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off and the Keep America Beautiful Great American Cleanup. It authorized spring clean & recycling events including:
• "Smash It, Don’t Trash It" flattened-cardboard drive at 265 County Road 107 (24/7) • "Clean & Green" permit-free access to County Collection & Recycling Stations during posted hours • "Re-Tire Your Treads" household tire recycling (up to five tires per household) at 1516 FM 166, weekdays 9 a.m.–5 p.m. with special Saturday hours
