The Three Rivers City Commission on March 3 handled a series of routine and procurement items, approving several motions unanimously.
The commission approved a $854.75 change order to Detroit Salt for additional winter salt deliveries after At-Large Commissioner Torrey Brown moved the item and First District Commissioner Pat Dane seconded.
Commissioners authorized a $200,000 change order to the water meter purchase authorization for Blue Water Solutions to procure additional meters and meter heads; the motion was made by At Large Commissioner Lucas Allen and seconded by First District Commissioner Pat Dane.
The commission awarded Contracts A and B for city-wide mowing for 2026–2028 to Yardtech, LLC and authorized annual payments of $108,655 for the three years; Third District Commissioner Anthony Stanfill moved and Fourth District Commissioner Carolyn McNary seconded the award.
The body adopted a resolution recommending Farrand Hall Diner be included in the city's Downtown Social District after a motion by At-Large Commissioner Torrey Brown and a second from Fourth District Commissioner Carolyn McNary.
The consent agenda, including the invoice approval listing, RCRA minutes, Library Board minutes and a vacation request, was approved on a motion by At-Large Commissioner Torrey Brown and a second from First District Commissioner Pat Dane. The commission also adopted the February 17, 2026 minutes earlier in the meeting.
Public comments included an inquiry from Cherie Olson about a living situation involving safety and a comment from Dwight Lewis about an interaction with the Code Enforcement Officer. Commissioners briefly addressed the general comment situation during communications.
The meeting adjourned at 7:01 p.m. on a motion by First District Commissioner Pat Dane and a second from Second District Commissioner Steven Haigh.
