ELLENSBURG, Wash. — Following an executive session on potential litigation on March 30, 2026, the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners voted to authorize the Public Works Director to sign a letter to the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation requesting concurrence on removal of the Lund Lane bridge to permit construction of a new bridge under the existing license.
Chairman Cory Wright announced the board’s recess into executive session under RCW 42.30.110(i) to consult with legal counsel concerning litigation or potential litigation. After the board reconvened, Wright moved to authorize the Public Works Director’s signature on the concurrence request; Vice‑Chairman Brett Wachsmith seconded the motion. The board voted unanimously in favor with Commissioners Cory Wright, Brett Wachsmith and Laura Osiadacz recorded as voting yes.
No further discussion or amendments to the motion were recorded. The board’s action directs the Public Works Director to send the letter seeking the Bureau of Reclamation’s concurrence; the transcript notes the action was taken pursuant to the license governing the new bridge project.
