DeWitt County approves temporary right-of-way permits for water-line installations

DeWitt County Commissioners approved several temporary right-of-way permits allowing private contractors to place temporary water lines along county roads across multiple precincts and granted a penalty waiver for one emergency installation.
On March 9 the court received a letter from Select Water Solutions LLC asking for a waiver of a $5,000 Temporary Right of Way Agreement penalty due to emergency placement of a water line; the court approved the waiver and granted permits for Select Water Solutions to install temporary lines along Haase Road (Precinct 3) and Kubala Store and Lincke roads (Precinct 1). Commissioners separately approved permit applications from NexGen Water Solutions to install temporary water lines on Simecek Road, Stanchos Road and Czaja Bros. Road in Precincts 1 and 3, and later, on March 23, the court approved multiple permit applications from AJ’s Logistics for temporary lines along Concrete-Edgar, Elder, Wild, Steen, Braden and Musselman roads across Precincts 1 and 2.
Commissioner Ryan Varela moved the motions to receive the requests and approve the permits; the motions carried on recorded votes as shown in the minutes. County staff were authorized to execute permits and process any necessary permit paperwork.
