Ector County commissioners approve major budget transfers, grant acceptances and extend tax-abatement deadline in 3-2 vote

Shirley Jo Kelley said there are neighborhoods where residents lack water connections and urged attention to utility access.
Items approved with little discussion included library actions (accepting the TX Reads grant and the 2025 accreditation report), several MHRC development proposals for specific addresses across precincts, the renewal of online auctioneering services, an interlocal agreement with the City of Odessa for building permits and inspections, and traffic-safety signage on Florida Avenue.

After returning to open session, the court authorized proceeding as discussed in executive session and voted to retain outside counsel for the Jazland litigation.
