Hamilton County schedules sidewalk pour Dec. 27, advances siren upgrade grant work; radio frequencies sent for vendor approval

Public works staff reported the concrete pour for a sidewalk is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025. Commissioner Dickie Clary urged work to clear brush and grass around county radio tower locations to support ongoing tower operations and maintenance. Court members noted planned upgrades to the commissioners courtroom will begin after the new year.
Communications representative Lacy Alexander told the court that radio frequencies are currently in the approval process and that those frequencies have been sent to vendors Motorola and Bearcom for their further approvals. Alexander also reported a small alarm on the communications‑department generator tied to the water pump; Hunter Generator Service of Stephenville will be asked to service the unit at roughly half the price quoted by Loftin. According to the court record, the COG will reimburse 83% of the cost of repairs; the court asked staff to contact Hunter about routine maintenance options for tower generators.
No formal action to fund these specific repairs was recorded at the meeting; staff were directed to pursue vendor quotes and repair arrangements.
