Commissioners OK contracts with Hico Senior Services, Cranfills Gap VFD; authorize county financial director as signatory

Hamilton County Commissioners on Nov. 12 approved several routine administrative items, including interlocal agreements with two local service providers, a copier procurement for the County Judge's Office and authorization for the county financial director to sign financial paperwork.

The Court approved contracts and interlocal agreements with Hico Senior Services and Cranfills Gap Volunteer Fire Department. Commissioner Dickie Clary moved to approve the contracts and Commissioner Keith Curry seconded; the motion passed 4-0 with County Judge James Yates abstaining.

The Court also accepted a proposal from Ricoh to supply a copier for the County Judge's Office; the item was presented to correct a clerical omission in prior audit paperwork. Commissioner Dickie Clary moved to accept the Ricoh proposal and Commissioner David Ogle seconded; the motion passed 4-0 with Judge Yates abstaining.

In administrative housekeeping, the Court designated Hamilton County Financial Director Timany McCarn as an authorized signatory for financial and banking purposes. Commissioner Dickie Clary moved for the designation, Commissioner Johnny Wagner seconded and the Court approved the authorization 4-0 with Judge Yates abstaining.

What happens next: Contracts will be executed per their terms, the courthouse will receive the approved copier under the Ricoh proposal, and the financial director will be added as an authorized signatory on county accounts.
