Steve Manning addressed the court about a $10 million grant opportunity and said the county is working with Coryell County to combine applications. He said Blackland and Natural Resource Solutions are collaborating on the proposal and that the next stakeholder meeting is scheduled for May 28, 2026.
On a motion by Commissioner Dicky Clary seconded by Commissioner David Ogle, the court agreed to sign the MOU to participate in the regional effort; the motion passed 4–0 with County Judge James Yates abstaining.
