Hamilton County approves consent agenda, personnel changes and vendor payment plan

Commissioner Johnny Wagner moved to approve the consent agenda and Commissioner Keith Curry seconded; the motion passed 4–0 with County Judge James Yates abstaining.
The court announced new hires: Michael Cook (Sheriff’s Department) and Adrian Jones (Finance Director). Resignations reported included Logan Wade (Precinct 3) and Timany McCarn (Financial Director). Treasurer Tonya Cox said bank accounts will be updated to remove Timany McCarn and add Adrian Jones, and that the county’s overtime account is in the negative and will need a line-item adjustment at a future court.
The court ratified the District Judge’s appointment of Garrett Arendall as Community Supervision Officer for the 220th Community Supervision and Corrections Department by motion of Commissioner Johnny Wagner and second by Commissioner Dicky Clary; the vote was 4–0 with Judge Yates abstaining.
Administrative approvals included adoption of the Hamilton County 2026–2027 holiday schedule (motion by Commissioner Dicky Clary, second by Commissioner David Ogle; vote 4–0, judge abstained) and authorization of fireworks sales for Memorial Day (motion by Commissioner Johnny Wagner, second by Commissioner Keith Curry; vote 4–0, judge abstained). The court also approved a CivicPlus payment plan for a new county website that accepts $1,250 now and the remaining $14,134 at the start of the new fiscal year (motion passed 4–0, judge abstained).
