One board member said the district plans to create a small student-enrichment fund in year two of the vendor program so schools may receive some money for assemblies, though the board representative cautioned that those funds would be limited and likely not replace field-trip funding.
Board members thanked local businesses that have supported school lunches and urged community members to help fill PTA leadership roles.
