Building Services outlines facility needs, rooftop unit delivery and UW–Green Bay–Sheboygan lease review

Director Kevin Dulmes updated the Sheboygan County Property Committee on May 5 on a series of building-management matters, including facility-condition findings, a near-term equipment installation and forthcoming lease and procurement steps for the UW–Green Bay Sheboygan campus.
Dulmes, director of Building Services, welcomed newly seated supervisors and presented an overview of county-owned and county-managed buildings, summarizing results from a recent building condition study. He said the study and a concurrent space study at Health and Human Services identify building- and space-related struggles that staff will use for asset planning and program siting decisions.
On immediate maintenance, Dulmes reported that a rooftop unit for the County Museum has arrived and that Building Services expects to have it connected within the next two weeks. The committee received that scheduling update as a short-term timeline for restoring or improving museum HVAC capacity.
Dulmes also briefed the committee on the separation of buildings at the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, Sheboygan Campus, describing an overview of a lease amendment and related requests for proposals. He framed the lease amendment and RFPs as preparatory steps to clarify responsibilities and to solicit proposals related to the campus buildings; no formal action on the lease or RFPs occurred at the meeting.
The committee did not vote on any of the lease or RFP items at the May 5 meeting. The presentation closed with committee members directed to Building Services for follow-up details on timelines and funding implications.
