Resident urges council to fix school drop-off traffic on Longview Drive

"The traffic coming out very fast, and something needs to be done," Wilford said. He described parents lining up along Longview Drive past the first set of townhouses and down past the parking lot, creating a single-lane situation where drivers leaving the school must squeeze past drop-off traffic.
Wilford urged the borough to form a committee or instruct the borough engineer to address the issue and said he would be willing to help. He suggested completing changes before the next school year so parents are aware of new patterns by September.
An additional speaker noted similar congestion on the opposite side of the school toward Educational Drive and Eisenhower, underscoring the potential need for a broader traffic review. The council did not place an action on the floor during the public-comment period; follow-up would typically be handled by borough staff or the engineer.
