The council unanimously accepted the finance report presented by Finance Committee Chair Chuck Davis, approved the April check register (totaling $951,817.38 as announced) and authorized interfund transfers totaling $615,698.98. Council also approved a $19,000 contract with Meyer Newsel certified public accountants for the 2025 fiscal-year audit.
Council approved motions to advertise bids for the borough's 2026 paving program and accepted a change order of $21,920 for the Heritage Hill Park pickleball court development. The council approved a $1,320 pay request to Guffey Construction for demolition work at 1139 California Avenue, as recommended by the borough engineer.
On resolutions, council approved Resolution 2026-17 to refund certain real property taxes per county assessment corrections; Resolution 2026-18 authorizing a $250,000 grant application to the Commonwealth Financing Authority for ADA improvements at Heritage Hill Park Pool; and Resolution 2026-19 appointing community liaisons to a Blight Committee with specified term limits. The council also adopted Resolution 2026-20 implementing revised police policies (see separate article), approved Resolution 2026-21 to sell a 2014 Taurus interceptor to Lincolnborough for $5,000, and approved Resolution 2026-22 to amend the borough's service commission rules as presented.
