He described photos showing overflowing bags, a trailer with items and covered belongings; staff recommended removing junk and debris and estimated the city would likely remove about 75% of the items while leaving some covered possessions and items that appeared to be in storage rather than refuse.
A motion and second to abate the property carried on a voice vote; the chair recorded two “aye” responses and the motion carried. The committee directed staff to proceed with abatement consistent with the scope described by the code officer.
