The board recognized DECA competitors who earned mini awards, grand-award placements and top-10 finishes at state and international competitions. Staff presenter listed student names and placements, praising student preparation and thanking advisors and boosters.
Carol Muskin, an AFS USA volunteer, introduced five exchange students hosted at ETHS this year and presented a medallion for hosting State Department scholarship recipients. The students (who introduced themselves) described highlights: Amelia (Poland) praised theater opportunities, Elias (Italy) enjoyed sports and extracurricular options, Nina (France) emphasized teacher relationships, Olivia (Spain) cited diversity and clubs, and Noel (Sweden) highlighted flexible course options and advanced math and computer-science opportunities.
Board members congratulated students, handed out tokens of recognition and thanked volunteer advisors and boosters. The board asked presenters to provide slides and follow-up materials to the board packet.
