The Williamsville Central School District provided several calendar and operational updates including holiday closures, testing guidance, a public comment deadline and a community event.
Holiday and testing guidance: The Presenter said there will be no school Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day, and no school Wednesday, May 27, in observance of Eid al-Adha. Listeners were directed to double-check WICS and district/high school websites for local and Regents exam testing dates and half days. The Presenter noted June 9 is a regularly scheduled school day for high school students and that for remaining Regents testing dates students should attend only if they have a Regents exam that day.
Public comment period: The Presenter reminded students, families and staff that the comment period for the draft code of conduct for the 2027 school year is open until Friday and can be sent to contact@williamsvillek12.org.
Community event: The Presenter announced the Jamaican national Flag Football Team will hold a free, public open practice on Friday, May 29, with gates opening at 4:30 p.m. and practice beginning at approximately 5:00 p.m., calling it an opportunity for the school community to see international athletes.
The update closed with a recommendation to consult building administrators with any questions about testing dates or schedules.
