The consent agenda — which included minutes from Jan. 13, invoices, payroll and recording a training certificate for Treasurer Rachel Parker — passed on a motion by Commissioner Scotty Hawkins, seconded by Commissioner Larry Crumpton, with unanimous "Aye" votes. The court approved bonds covering a wide set of county officers and positions on motion by Commissioner Scotty Hawkins, seconded by Commissioner Jim Holcomb.
Budget amendments were approved on motion by Commissioner Larry Crumpton and included adjustments across the general fund and multiple departments, plus road-and-bridge precinct allocations. The Jury Selection Plan for Hill County was approved, and the court approved a contract with Republic Services for a roll-off dumpster to serve Precinct #3.
Plats action included removing the Plat Checklist from Subdivision Rules and Regulations and approving: a Minor Plat for Burroughs Addition (approved), a Final Plat for Mayspring Whitney Estates (approved subject to driveway location being handled under the culvert policy), and a Preliminary Plat for Buffalo Ridge (approved). The court also approved an application for the 2027 Edward Byrne Memorial Criminal Justice Assistance Grant for the sheriff’s office.
