Myles Stricker attended the board meeting Feb. 10 to follow up on a prior presentation about landscaping and planter options for Uptown Butte. Stricker displayed a planter design that has been shown to property owners within the BID and estimated the cost at approximately $2,300 per planter.
He told the board he has other large projects this summer and asked for clarity on the BID's implementation timeline. Stricker said he would research regulatory requirements from Butte-Silver Bow and the Montana Department of Transportation related to street furniture in the commercial corridor and report back to the board.
Board members logged the public comment and noted further information about permitting and prototype testing will be needed before the board pursues wider placement of planters or benches.
