Hill County court passes consent agenda, appointments, bonds and routine items

At its Feb. 10 meeting the Hill County Commissioners unanimously approved a slate of routine business and consent items.
The court approved invoices for Jan. 28 and Feb. 3 and 10, payroll for Feb. 6, a monthly revenue and disbursements report, and elected-officials training certificates as part of the consent agenda (Court Order #2026-5030). The court also approved employee wage and status changes (Court Order #2026-5031) and bonds for county officers including the Hill County Auditor and Constable (Court Order #2026-5032).
Other recorded items included observing and recording the Hill County CPS Board Treasurer's Report for January 2026 (Court Order #2026-5033), recording monthly bank balances (Court Order #2026-5034), and acknowledging the Texas CLASS 2026 Investment Policy (Court Order #2026-5035). The court approved a correction to a budget amendment described in the minutes as a scrivener's error (Court Order #2026-5039).
The court appointed Theo Boyd, Lauren Burrow, Lyndsey Pederson and Brenda Harkins to the Hill County CPS Board (Court Order #2026-5041) and approved Emergency Services District #2 applying for the Rural Ambulance Service Grant Program (Court Order #2026-5040). The Information Technology Department declared end-of-life equipment as surplus and authorized sale to Franks Recycling (Court Orders #2026-5042 and #2026-5043).
The court also set public hearings to consider 30 MPH speed-limit signs for Hill County Road 1211 (hearing March 10, 2026; Court Order #2026-5044) and for a stretch from FM 3050 to Hill County Road 1212 (Court Order #2026-5048). The meeting concluded with adjournment (Court Order #2026-5049).
