The West Perry School District Board of School Directors unanimously appointed Lucas Clouse as Board Secretary on March 9 and approved routine business including the 2026–27 academic calendar, personnel actions, MOUs, policy readings and fiscal reports.
The appointment motion — added to the agenda at the start of the meeting — was moved by Ms. Wills and seconded by Mrs. Miller and passed 9–0. The board also approved the district’s academic calendar for 2026–27 on a 9–0 vote.
Personnel actions approved included resignations (e.g., Jonalynn Hamilton, Sixth Grade Social Studies; Zackary Raugh, Maintenance Technician; and the retirement of John Hines, agriculture teacher, effective June 30, 2026), leaves of absence (several FMLA and unpaid leave requests), transfers and new hires. The board approved the transfer of Jenna Krinjeck to West Perry Middle School Principal, effective March 10, 2026, at a prorated salary of $92,300. Employment and volunteer coach appointments were also approved; most personnel motions passed unanimously.
The board accepted the 2024–25 district audit presented by Boyer & Ritter LLC and approved a $150 donation from Mt. Gilead Church to Carroll Elementary. The board completed second readings of nine policies (including Policy 127 – Assessment System; Policy 204 – Attendance; Policy 218.1 – Weapons) and first readings of four additional policies, all by unanimous votes.
Meeting close: The board heard non-agenda public comments and adjourned at 9:16 PM. The meeting minutes record the actions and will be used to update personnel and administrative records.
