Board approves Act 93, agreements, policy, hires and other routine business in unanimous votes

The Hamburg Area School District board approved a package of recommended agreements, personnel items and policy updates during its April 13 Committee of the Whole meeting.
Superintendent Christopher Beissel bundled several items and presented personnel and contract recommendations. The board approved the Act 93 Agreement and Act 93 Salary Chart (motion by Tonia Krick, seconded by Thomas DeAngelo), the Compensation and Benefits Plan for the Director of Human Resources (motion by Daniel Sarna, seconded by Carson Adams), and multiple inter-institutional agreements including the Lancaster Bible College Agreement and the RACC Dual Enrollment Agreement on separate motions. Board Policy 246 (School Wellness) was approved as presented (motion by Toni McFadden, seconded by Daniel Sarna).
Personnel actions approved included transfers, professional hires (including Hannah Henne as a Title I teacher), homebound instructor appointments, support staff hires (including Justine Emerich as a second-shift custodian), building-level volunteer approvals, and an athletics appointment. The board also approved a retroactive mentor stipend for the second semester pairing Sean Krim with new staff member Wyatt Conrad.
All recorded roll call votes on these agenda items were unanimous among the six directors present (Carson Adams, Thomas DeAngelo, Tonia Krick, Toni McFadden, Daniel Sarna and Ryan Gebely). No public comments were recorded on these items at the meeting.
