The Exeter Township School Board on May 18 approved a proposed final general fund budget for the 2026–27 school year and a set of routine consent items, including meeting minutes, the treasurer’s report, personnel actions and several committee recommendations.
Finance and Audit Committee Chair Deborah Bloom presented the proposed budget, which she described to the board as the proposed final general fund budget for 2026–27 and which the meeting transcript lists with approximately $92 million in budgeted revenue and roughly $91 million in budgeted expenditures as presented. “It is recommended that the board of school directors approves the proposed final general fund budget for the 2026, 2027 school year,” Bloom said before a voice vote that carried.
Earlier in the meeting the board approved minutes from the April 8 Committee of the Whole and the April 21 voting meeting and adopted the April treasurer’s report and payment requests covering 04/22/2026 through 05/18/2026. The Education Committee (Chair John Fiddler) moved approval of consent agenda items 1–9, which the board approved by voice vote.
The Personnel Committee (Dr. Anne Herring) presented a slate of personnel items—resignations, retirements, appointments, transfers, changes of status, additional assignments and leaves—and recommended approval. The board approved extended contracts (agenda items 8–12), job description updates (items 13–21) and course requests as presented.
Votes recorded in the meeting were voice votes; the chair announced motions carried and there were no recorded roll-call tallies in the public transcript. The board also heard committee updates (athletics, career and technology, BCIU) and acknowledged the Exeter Community Education Foundation’s recent events.
The board did not receive public comments that night and adjourned with the next Committee of the Whole scheduled for June 2, 2026 at 6 p.m.
