Board approves policy, finance, HR and curriculum items; multiple roll-call votes recorded

At its May 18, 2026 meeting, the Mount Lebanon School District board took several formal actions by motion and roll call, approving minutes and multiple agenda packages spanning policy, finance, human resources and curriculum.

Early in the meeting the board voted to approve minutes of the April 6 discussion meeting and the April 13 regular meeting. Later, the board adopted a package of policy revisions — including updates on discrimination and harassment policies, threat assessment procedures, dress and grooming guidance, mission and values statements, and policies addressing extracurricular participation by non-enrolled or home-educated students — after a motion and roll call.

The finance agenda (treasurer's report, monthly list of bills, budgetary transfers, tax resolutions, list of contracts in excess of $100,000 and insurance renewals) was moved, seconded and approved by roll call. Human-resources items were approved in a separate roll-call vote. The board also approved curriculum and instruction items, including textbook and social-studies agreements with McGraw Hill and TCI, AIU comprehensive services addenda and the high-school ski trip.

Roll-call tallies were recorded as unanimous 'Aye' among members present. The board reported seven members in attendance earlier in the meeting; where specific member votes were recorded in the transcript the response was 'Aye.' No roll-call 'No' or abstentions were recorded in the meeting transcript for these items.

The board also made routine designations (PSBA delegate assignments) and scheduled future meetings. The meeting adjourned after public comment and a motion to adjourn.
