Board approves treasurer’s report, contracts, education policies and personnel items; several routine measures pass

Trustees at the May 18 Whitehall Copley School District meeting approved a slate of routine fiscal, education and personnel items by roll call votes.
Acting treasurer Mister McCool presented the treasurer’s report and requested approval of bills and salaries; the motion passed with eight yes votes. The board approved authorization items E through G, including a property-tax assessment agreement, by an 8–0 roll call. Finance committee measures — the 2026–27 LCTI budget, PSBA membership renewal, Metz Culinary Management renewal and 2026–27 gas and diesel fuel bids — were approved (recorded vote 6–0 as listed).
On education and student-activity matters the board approved a package of policies for second reading, a PowerSchool services quote, a distance-learning agreement, employee-assistance program renewal, a Kutztown University Early College agreement and the Class of 2027 commencement date (June 2, 2027; inclement date June 3). The board also approved the 2026–27 Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit crisis response pool agreement and acknowledged personnel agenda items, affidavits and tutorial agreements as presented.
Trustees who voted in the recorded roll calls included Feynill, Fonzone, Gogler, Hartman, Kubat, McCool, Saloom, Shields and others as noted in the meeting roll-call record. The approvals were presented as consent or committee items and carried without prolonged debate following the budget discussion.
